Mrs. Effie Pipher was my grandpa Jerrys momma-I guess what you would call my step-great grandma. She was born in Salem In, where she attended schools, she was married to Charles Keynon in 1893, who died in 1898.

She then married Jerry W. Pipher in 1905, he passed away in 1923, at Evenston, IN. The family then moved to Big Blue Lake in Muskegon County in 1938, and moved to Montague in 1942.

Effie was a member of Montague Methodist Church, the Naomi Circle and the Women's Socity of Christian Service, in which she held a life membership.

She had two sons Otto of Las Vegas, Jerry of Lakewood club; a daughter Mrs. Laura Carr of Montague. *
