Landen Thomas Jorgensen has always been a fighter and overcame everything that he was ever challenged with. He was born May 13, 2010 as a 24 week preemie and identical twin. Immediately, he showed everyone that he was here to stay…. Over 100 days in NICU, countless surgeries, medical issues and setbacks he overcame every single one of them through the years. He was the definition of unconditional love and resiliency. He fought until the very end but finally met a challenge that his body was unable to conquer. He passed quickly and comfortably Saturday morning at Bronson Pediatric ICU, October 30, 2021.

He lit up a room with his megawatt smile and contagious laughter, touching every person he came in contact with. Family, friends, teachers, aides, Doctors, even strangers in the store all instantly loved him and were inspired by his love of people, fun, a little bit of trouble, going fast, and his "word of the day" which usually lead to everyone laughing with him.

Landen taught all of us what it means to persevere, how to love life and appreciate the little things. This usually meant snuggles, cartoons, people talking to him, his favorite toys, and music. We will miss him dearly, but feel so fortunate that despite everything we had 11 1/2 amazing years with him. Thank you to every single person who has touched his life, and been a part of this journey with us. It takes a village and we are so fortunate you were all there with us and continue to be. He loved every single one of you.

Landen was proceeded in death by his identical twin brother Aiden James who survived a week after birth, along with several other family members that were special to all of us.

He leaves behind his mother, Samantha Jorgensen-Gazi (Bret Pittman); step-dad, Vance Gazi; and four siblings, Grant (17), JP (15), Matthias (14), and Eliza (8) Gazi; grandparents, Jerry Jorgensen, Dorothy Jorgensen (Don Stoughton); great-grandparents, Mary (Dick) Carruthers, Joyce Jorgensen; aunts, Devenn Simonds (Anthony), Angela Halopulos, Jennifer Evink; step-siblings, Hannah (Logan) &, Gavin Pittman and cousins he loved like brothers, Elijah & Link Jorgensen- Simonds.
