Art and Jean enjoyed 58 years together in marriage as well as on the golf course and the tennis courts. They enjoyed many years of spirited bridge with family and friends. A favorite family activity also included cheering for their beloved Notre Dame and Pittsburgh teams.
Jean, Art and Peggy want to sincerely thank all their neighbors and friends for the wonderful support they gave to the entire family. They also want to recognize the Sentara Hospice program and especially Linda Kenney, R.N., for making the last weeks of her life a loving and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
The Cremation Society will be helping the family with arrangements and a private memorial service will be held later in Washington, Pa. She will also be remembered at Buff's Garden on 47th St. and Oceanfront, Virginia Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Sentara Hospice Program at 535 Independence Pkwy., Ste. 40, Chesapeake, VA 23320, or the donor's local hospice program.
She will continue to be our strength, courage, faith and love for ever and ever.
