LITITZ - Ellen E. Longenecker Young, 90, of 320 Rudy Dam Road, Lititz, formerly of Hershey, died Tuesday in Essa Flory Hospice Center, Lancaster. She was a former head cook in the Conewago Elementary School cafeteria; a former houseparent at the Milton Hershey School; enjoyed quilting; was a member of Lititz Church of the Brethren and a former member of Conewago Church of the Brethren, Conewago Twp.; and had been active with the Atlantic Northeast Brethren Disaster Relief Auction. She was the widow of Robert S. Young. Surviving are two sons, M. Rodney of Lititz and Dr. Steven M. of Dallas, Pa.; a daughter, Cynthia L. Hanks of Elkton, Md.; two brothers, Lineaus W. Longenecker and the Rev. William W. Longenecker, both of Mount Joy; three sisters, Dorothy C.L. Minx of Dallas, Texas, Ethel Mae L. Shelly of Manheim and Verdella Belle L. Spickler of Mount Joy; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Conewago Church. Burial will be in Grand View Memorial Park, North Annville Twp., at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. Heisey Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
