Obituary:
Died, suddenly, at her home in Bangor on the evening of March 27th, 1884. Mrs. Jannette Hurlbut, mother of Robert and Myrick Hurlbut and Mrs. Martin Watkins. Mrs. Hurlbut had been a resident of Bangor for many years and by her upright, Christian and motherly devotion had won a large circle of true friends. She was 53 years of age and had been a widow for over twenty years. The funeral services were held at the Christian Church, Sunday, she being a member of that church. The sermon being by the Pastor Elder J.H. Reese from John 1:5-4(?). A large concourse of sympathizing friends followed the remains to the Taylor Cemetery where they were interred.
Cannot locate her headstone at Taylor Cemetery. It's a small rural cemetery and many stones had been removed, tossed aside, and whatnot.
