Neva Joy "Toby" Moore, 81, of Ferris, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 19, peacefully, at Grace Presbytarian Village, Dallas, Texas
Neva was born in Grand Prarie, Texas on November 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Minnie Ola Garvin Connor and Jim Woodall.
Neva was married to Delbert Calvin Moore on October 23, 1947 in Ennis, Texas. She was employed as a secretary for Dallas County for 25 years. She was a member of Ferris Baptist Fellowship Ferris, Texas. Neva was also a member of Women on a Mission and volunteered at Womens Resource Center in Ellis County.
Neva is survived by her husband of 64 years, Delbert Moore, two daughters, Diane Bryant, of Red Oak, Texas, Darlene Flores, of Ferris, Texas, a son, Harold Dewayne Moore, of Ferris, Texas.
Neva is also survived by two sisters, Jimmie Southall, of Denver, Colorado, Janis Johnson, of Charles Town, West Virginia, two brothers, James Conner, of Decatur, Texas and Jerry Conner, of Abilene, Texas.
She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. on May 22, 2012 at Green Funeral Home, 207 S. Wood St. in Ferris, Texas. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. May 23, 2012 at Ferris Fellowship Baptist Church, 809 E. 8th St. in Ferris, Texas, with Rev. Robert Mashburn and Darrel Beggs officiating. Interment at Ferris Memorial Park North. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green Funeral Home.
