Hastings resident, Arnold E. Aspegren, 81, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, NE. Arnold was born June 15th, 1930, to Melvin C. and Leona L. (Barker) Aspegren in Saronville, Nebraska.

Arnold graduated from Sutton High School in 1947; this year would have been his 65th class reunion. After graduation Arnold farmed various farms in Clay County, owned and operated elevators in various towns in the Clay County area. On January 7th 1951, he married Marilyn Miller, of Harvard, where they resided on the farm raising three children. He was a past member of the Harvard Lions club. In 1974, Arnold and Marilyn moved to Hastings where they retired. He then drove school bus for both Hastings and Trumbull Public School Systems for several years.

Arnold is survived by: wife Marilyn, Aspegren of Hastings, NE.; children James and wife Joan (Griess) Aspegren of Sutton, NE., Patricia Robison of Des Moines, Ia., Mary and husband Mark Kingston of North Bend, NE., 9 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren, brothers and sister. Burnell Aspegren of Harvard, NE., Percy Aspegren of Geneva, NE., Joan Cleven of Lincoln NE., Herbert Aspegren of Sutton, NE.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Burial was in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE.
