Mrs. William L. Thomas, 51, Broken Bow, died at 4 p.m. Sunday at the home of a son, Clyde Hunter, Broken Bow.
Born in Forker {Sic} county, Ark., January 9, 1905, she had resided in McCurtain county since 1912, moving from Arkansas. She was a member of the Baptist church.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Clyde Hunter, Broken Bow; Willie Hunter, and Rubin Hunter, Modesto, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Pat Wright, Fort Walden, Fla.; three brothers, T. L. and Frank Compton, both of Broken Bow, and J. C. Compton, Fort Worth, Tex.; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Arrangements are under direction of Coffey funeral home.

SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. W. L. THOMAS
Funeral services for Mrs. William L. Thomas, 51, who died at Broken Bow Sunday, were held at 2 p. m. Thursday at Honey Grove Presbyterian church with Rev. John Lovelace officiating.
Arrangements and burial in Rock Hill cemetery were under direction of Coffey funeral home.

Her maiden name was Compton, Hunter was the name of her 1st husband (Riley Hunter) & her children.
She was also married to George Beckham. In 1933 her son, Willie Hunter, shot and killed George Beckham after he had threatened his mother and other family members. Willie, was adjudged a minor and was paroled to his mother and Sheriff Bud Stewart by Judge Jeff D. McLendon.
