Waymon R. Barton, 71, of Cecil, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 in Fort Smith.
The son of Ralph and Golda Lively Barton, he was born December 22, 1940 in Cecil, Arkansas.
He served as JP for many years and retired as a gas well attendant for XTO. He also owned and operated the Webb City Conoco station in Webb City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Oma and one son Michael.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Cecil United Methodist Church with burial at Cecil Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary.
He is survived by one daughter Patricia Dunn and husband Mike; one sister Cleo Shelby; nieces and nephews, Melinda Goodwin and husband David, Sharon Helms and husband Jack, Ronnie Shelby and wife Lisa, Ricky Shelby and wife Maria; grandchildren, Gary, Keith & Jessica and one great grandchild Jarron and great niece Amanda Price. Pall Bearers will be Brad Slusher, Glen Hardin, Conred LaRue, Gerald Franklin, Shawn Price and John Noggle.
Honorary pall bearers are J.O. & Jerry Barton, Danny Wesson and employees of Webb City Conoco Crew.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
