Isaac W. Mitchell was born June 13, 1858 in Green County, Indiana. When a small boy, he went with his parents to Douglas County, Illinois, where he grew to manhood. In 1885 he went to Peabody, Kansas, where he was united in marriage in July of that year to Miss Rose Jane Bates. To them one daughter was born. Mrs. Mitchell passed away at the farm homenear Wilder about 4 years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell lived near Peabody until 1918 when they came to Idaho and since that time they have resided near Caldwell and Wilder. Three years ago, Mr. Mitchell went with his daughter and her family to Salem where he had lived since that time.

He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. J. C. Mitchell of Salem, seven grandchildren, one great grandson, and several half brothers and sisters.

The funeral service was conducted by Rev. George Roseberry, pastor of the First Methodist Church in Caldwell. Internment was made in Canyon Hill Cemetery.
