Mrs. Bernice L. Richards, 46, Marin County resident for 22 years, died last night in a local hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Richards, wife of Odie Richards, San Rafael salesman for Foremost-Golden State Dairies, of 23 Linda Avenue, San Rafael, was a native of Jamestown, Tuolumne County. She was employed as a clerk for the Pacific Gas and Electric Co. in San Rafael.

She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, San Rafael, Chapter 215; Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem; Redwood Shrine 102; Pharaoh's Daughters, Marin Pyramid 31; Sciots Neighbors of Woodcraft; Woodwardia Circle 663; and Golden Star Rebekah Lodge 112.

She is survived by her husband; 2 daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Ann Bayer and Mrs. Betty Ann Davis, both of San Rafael; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman D. Zwinge of Stockton and 2 brothers, Herman Zwinge of Sonora; and Norman Zwinge of Manteca.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be in Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.
