HENRY BUNCH
---Judge Henry D. Bunch, an old resident of La Plata, died at his home in this city Friday evening, November 12, 1915, at the age of seventy-five years, three months and twelve days.
---Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A.R. Foster, pastor of the Baptist Church.
---Judge Bunch won the distinction of the longest continuous service as Justice of the Peace ever known serving in that capacity for fifty years.
---Judge Bunch was recognized as authority on legal questions, and during his time, there were many appeals taken from his court to higher ones and it is said that during his fifty years of service, only one opinion was reversed.
---He served in the confederate army and rapidly rose from the rank of Pvt. to that of Colonel. At the close of the war he moved to Macon County where he has since resided.
---The Judge had been failing in health for a number of years and his death was not altogether unexpected.
---He is survived by a wife and son.

---Henry Dillard Bunch was born in Macon County, Missouri, July 30, 1840, died at his home in La Plata, Missouri November 12, 1915, making his age at the time of death, seventy-five years, three months and twelve days.
---He was married to Ann Frances Bragg in June, 1866, who departed this life January 20, 1885. To this union two sons, Willard and L.D. Bunch, were born.
---He was married to Ora B. Thayer April 11, 1888.
---He is survived by his wife, one son, and a number of other relatives and friends who mourn his departure.
