Ocala - Doris G. Charron, 83, passed away on May 23, 2012. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on September 27, 1928. Mrs. Charron was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She worked at George F. Mangan Insurance in Ocala, and later was the co-owner of Knitter's Delight Yarn Shop. She enjoyed doing crafts, knitting, and sewing, and working in her rose garden. Daughter of Virgil Gibbs and Elizabeth Austin.
She married Marius G. CharronShe is survived by her daughters Deborah Lockheart and Nina Velandra; and sons, William M. Pyle, Mark (Karen) Velandra, Paul Velandra, and Craig Velandra; a sister, Mary Ann Huzarski; seven grandchildren, Elissa Schee, Kim Ragle, Brandy Eckman, Christopher Sanders, William Pyle, Jr., Laura Pyle, and Jared Velandra; ten great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband Marius G. Charron, daughter Catherine Sanders, grandson Neil Blanken, and great granddaughter Margay Schee. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park, with Father Roy Eco officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL, 34470.
