William Eugene Weaver age 94 passed away in Longview November 14, 2011.
He was born to James and Sally Weaver September 27, 1917 in Monkstown, TX.

William met Edna Wyatt and later they were married on July 16, 1938.

In 1944 William was inducted into the United States Army and honorably served our country during WWII.
In 1955 William and his family moved to Longview working for the Santa Fe Railroad. He worked for the Railroad for 25 years before retiring.
William was a member of the United Pentecostal Church for 72 years and currently was a member of Calvary Tabernacle of Longview where he was a Doorman for 31 years.
For 10 years he was a School Crossing Guard in Longview. He spent many enjoyable hours refurbishing bicycles and going to garage sales.


William is survived by his loving wife of 73 years Edna Weaver of Longview, three children, Carol Irvine of Winona, Wilda McGuire and her husband Jerry of Gladewater, James Weaver and his wife Mary of Longview, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and numerous friends and church family.


He is preceded in passing by is parents, two sisters, one brother and one son-in-law.


There will be a time of visitation Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Calvary Tabernacle of Longview from 6pm-8pm then funeral services will be at the church Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 10am. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Longview.
