He and his second wife, Eliza Lantz, bought a half interest in the water powered mill at Wana in 1870 and stayed until 1877 when they sold that interest and bought the steam powered mill at Deep Valley, PA. where Jonathan was the miller until his death due to a paralytic stroke in 1903.
