Glessie Lavon Slover Adamson, 59 years old, Columbus route 2. died at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon in her home. She had been ill five months.
Born May 20, 1908, at Columbus, to Napoleon B. and Anna M. Slover. Mrs. Adamson had lived here all her life.
She was married to Ernest Adamson on March 6, 1925, at Miami, Okla.
She was a member of the First Christian church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Mrs. Arleen Mack and Mrs. Maggie Higginbotham, both of Columbus, and Mrs. Marcia Mathes, Weir, Kan.; two sons, Ray Adamson, Kansas City, Mo., and Norman Adamson, Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Lela Burger, Orange, Calif.; three brothers, Claude Rhoades, Redlands, Calif., Holland Rhoades, Clinton, Mo., and Ted Slover, Columbus; and nine grandchildren.
Two infant daughters, Peggy and Wilma, preceded her in death.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lavon Adamson, 59 years old, Columbus route 2, who died Saturday afternoon at her home, will be at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Jorden funeral chapel. The Rev. Carl Daniels and the Rev. Marion Davies will officiate.
Burial will be in the Edgmand cemetery, northwest of Columbus.
