"Died.
In Memoriam – At five o’clock, on the evening of the 22nd inst., at Shreveport, La., Mrs. Allie B. Cutter, wife of Col. E. A. Cutter, departed this life after an illness of three weeks – disease, inflammation of the stomach.

Mrs. Cutter was born in Lancaster, Kentucky, and was in the thirty-seventh year of her age at the time of her death. She was the daughter of R. M. and Ellen Bradley, and sister of Hon. W. O. Bradley, of this place. Her funeral was attended by her sisters, Mrs. Col. Morrow, Mrs. Dr. Scott, of Somerset, and Mrs. Dr. Mays, of Jessamine county, and a large concourse of citizens of Lancaster and vicinity. The relatives and friends of this gifted lady were painfully surprised at hearing of her death, and the deep sorrow that filled the hearts of all who knew her was the highest evidence of the esteem in which she was held by the community in which she was born and reared. She was possessed not only of great personal attractions, but of mental qualities of no ordinary stamp. Being carefully educated when quite young, she never relaxed her efforts to improve her mind. To music she was particularly devoted; and by indomitable energy and will, attained an enviable position – being a recognized leader wherever she made her home. She was the favored sister in the home-circle, and a mother worthy of being remembered with pride and fondness by the loving children she has left behind. May the consolations of a kind and beneficent Providence come with soothing influence to the hearts of the bereaved; and may they rejoice in the contemplation of the fact that the voice that once cheered the fireside of a united and happy family in this world, is now blending its sweet tones with those of the angels and the loved ones gone before.
