MRS. MARGARET LANDIS -- Mrs. Margaret Landis, 94, of Tallahassee, Florida, died Tuesday morning of a heart attack. She was born to William and Martha Long Weaver on September 23, 1869 in Carroll County near the Old Adams Mill.
She was married to Cary D. Landis who died in 1938. At one time he served as Attorney General in the State of Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Landis taught in the schools in Carroll County.
Surviving is one son, Erskine of DeLand, Florida; five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The Leiter Funeral Home was in charge of graveside rites which were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ball Hill Cemetery. Don Kastner officiated.
