"Nelson H. Bresee, 85, died at 1:40 a. m. yesterday at the Burleigh Nursing Home, where he had been a patient for more than two years. He fractured his hip in a fall at the home of his son, James H. Bresee, 66 Second Avenue, in January, 1952, and had been confined to bed since that time. Mr. Bresee was born Sept. 11, 1868, at Davenport, N. Y., the son of Henrietta and John Bresee. He moved to Johnstown when a young man and later came to Gloversville, where he was foreman at the Harry Bradt mill. Leaving there he worked at the Curtin-Eebert company for sometime ... Besides his son, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John DeGrand of Gloversville; five grandchildren, nine great grandcildren, nephews and cousins in Oneonta ...
