Ethel Laverne Fletcher, age 83, of Harrisburg passed away at 6:47 pm, Friday, May 25, 2012 at Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born on November 28, 1928, in Harrisburg to the late Orval and Mary (Fricker) Durfee. She worked in the Dietary department at Harrisburg Medical Center and attended the Land Street Church of God. She was previously married to Jack Fletcher of Galatia.

Surviving family members include her son: Ronnie Fletcher and wife Elaine of Thompsonville; daughter: Lynn England and husband Gary of Harrisburg; three grandchildren: Amy Happe and husband Matt of New Harmony, IN, Jennifer Kendall and husband Shane of Galatia, and Buck Fletcher and companion Jennifer Dunn of Kentucky; two great-grandchildren: Brooklin and Chase Kendall of Galatia; brother: Johnny Durfee and wife Monagale of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Willie Durfee, and a sister: Marie Wilson

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Bill Perry will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM, Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Reed Funeral Chapel.
