Services were held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 24 at Royal Chapel CME Church in Byhalia, where she was a member. Rev. Johnny Wilson, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves four children, Mary "Louise" Rogers, Joe Ann Rogers of Memphis, Tenn., Jessie "T" Rogers, David Benton of Byhalia; three brothers, Larry Seldon (Bernice), Dave Seldon, both of Byhalia, Isaac Seldon of Memphis, Tenn.; four sisters, Arlisha Hood (Roy), Ardia Seldon-Collins (William) of Memphis, Flora M. Gant (Willie James) of Mt. Pleasant, Vera M. Watkins (James) of Collierville, Tenn.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Earl Seldon, John H. Seldon Jr.; and a sister, Armelia Rubbin.
Pallbearers were David Seldeon, Willie Gant Jr., Sidney Fifer Jr., Gary Seldon, John I. Seldon and Lee Q. Fifer.
