Anna was the child of Emmett Cavanaugh and Mathilda McNichol and was a lifelong resident of Portage, WI. She married Clarence E. Haseltine on Nov 23, 1898 and they had three boys, Charles William (Willie), Richard and George. She died at age 31 of acute appendicitis at Bentley's Hospital in Portage. Clarence died less than one year later, leaving the three boys orphaned.
