Verna W. Peters, age 89 of Johns Creek, GA passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014. The family is planning a memorial service at Johns Creek Baptist Church and a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lakewood, NJ.
Mrs. Peters was a retired Music Instructor from Lavallette Elementary School and a member of Johns Creek Baptist Church in Alpharetta, GA. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law - Patricia and Frank Gunkelman, of Midlothian, VA; Cherie and Thomas Bantly, of Johns Creek, GA; son and daughter-in-law - S. Brodrick and Kim Peters of Richmond, CA; grandchildren - Kati and Andrew Hornung; Tad and Julia Gunkelman; Peter and Leah Gunkelman; Rob and Krystal Gunkelman; Elizabeth Bantly; Chris and Aurora Bantly and Daniel Bantly; and 10 great-grandchildren.
