SISTER MARY LAETITIA BROWN

Sister Mary Laetitia Brown, 60, a teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas and Our Lady of the Snows School in Reno and five-year Reno resident, died at a Reno Hospital Saturday.

She was bornin California July 30, 1913. A nun for 42 years, she entered a Dominican Covenant at San Rafael, Calif., in 1932 and made her vows there in 1934.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Edmond Lyons of San Francisco; brother, Lawrence Palmer Brown Jr. of Saratoga, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. William L. Wilson of San Rafael, Calif.

A Rosary was to be recited Sunday at St. Mary’s Hospital. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated there at 9 P.M. today.

The Ross, Birke Knobel Mortuary is charge of the arrangements.

SISTER LAETITIA

Sister Mary Laetitia Brown, former teacher at St. Raphael’s School in San Rafael, died Saturday in Reno after a lingering illness. She was 61.

Sister Laetitia was born in Santa Monica and entered the Dominican Order in 1932.

She taught at St. Raphael’s from 1935 to 1938. From 1953 to 1965 and again from 1969 to 1971. She taught in parochial schools in San Francisco and Reno. Her usual assignment was as a sixth grade teacher.

Sister Laetitia is survived by her mother. Eileen Horton Lyons of San Francisco; her brother, Lawrence P. Brown Jr. of Saratoga, and her Sister. Emeilie Lyons Wilson of Marinwood.

Mass of the Christian Burial Was celebrated today at the Dominican Convent Chapel in San Rafael. Burial was in the Dominican Cemetery in Benicia
