Oscar was born the son of Theodore Brooks and Susannah (Blakeney) Brooks. He was married to (1)Edith Dye on March 12, 1913, and they had two children, Dalton and Eileen. When Edith died, he married (2)Grace Williams Cline on December 22, 1920, and they had two daughters, Marjorie and Iva Katherine. He passed away and was survived by his children, Dalton (Helen) Brooks, Eileen "Kickie" (Arnett) Dixon, and Marjorie (Delbert) Stark; one step-daughter, Reda (Carl) Prater; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both his wives; and one daughter, Iva Katherine.
