Harold was the youngest of six children of Clovis Dixon and Dee Hendrix Dixon.He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in June 1952.He joined the U.S.Navy in May 1953. In July 1954 he married his first wife Patricia Elizabeth Murphy.After an honorable discharge in April 1957 at SanFrancisco California he spent the summer working on the assembly line for Lockheed Aviation. In the fall he returned to Oak Ridge Tn. In 1959 he joined Tennessee Valley Authority as a Journeyman Electrician and the IBEW.In 1964 he moved to Merritt Island Florida and he began a long career at The Kennedy Space Center. In May 1972 Harold graduated from Brevard Community College with an Associates of Science degree in Electrical Technology after many years of attending night classes.Harold and Patricia were divorced in May 1985.After a long courtship Harold married Peggy Lynn (Margaret) Stevens in December 1991. they were still married at the untimely death resulting from injuries received in a horrific auto accident.He is survived by his wives, one son Harold Eugene Dixon Jr (wife Marika) Daughter Jennifer Shipley (husband Ken)and their children Carley,Travis and Derrick, step daughter Penny Melendez (husband Michael)and their children Michael and Meaghan, Step son Christopher Stevens (wife Erica) and their daughter Shelby.Memorial services held April 5 2008 at Beach Funeral Home West Chapel on Wickham Road Melbourne Fl.
