Richard A. Kirby, 81, veteran harness racing trainer, owner and driver, died Apr. 22, 1950 in his home, 308 N. Genesee, after a brief illness. Mr. Kirby was born Msy 12, 1868, in Herkimer, son of William and Rose Hall Kirby. He was educated in Herkimer Schools and married the former Jennie Barse there. She died many years ago.
Mr. Kirby was connected with harness racing all his adult life ..
