Brooklet, GA - Mrs. Joyce Anderson Sheppard Burrell, age 80, died on Friday May 25, 2012 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County was a homemaker and served as the Brooklet City Clerk for many years. She was a great cook, a seamstress, loved to play the guitar, and sang in the church choir at New Hope United Methodist Church where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her first husband Sidney Sheppard, a daughter Connie Sheppard, a grandson Doug Sherrod and a great grandson Christian Jankowski.
Surviving are her husband of 10 years Paul V. Burrell of Brooklet; four daughters and three sons-in-law Pat (Ken) Howard of Savannah, Terry S. (Danny) Sherrod of Brooklet, Barbara (Robert) Rich of Canton and Brenda Burrell of Canton; four grandchildren Brian (Amy) Jankowski of Richmond Hill, Wes (Jennifer) Sherrod of Brooklet, Michelle Rich of Canton and Robert (Valerie) Rich of Canton; five great grandchildren Tyler Jankowski, Sidney Jankowski, Isaac Sherrod, Nicholas Bannister and Josie Cantrell.
The funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Dr. Reland Morgan officiating.
Interment will be in the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.
