Mrs. Cora Burnett, 1019 Alcott Road, died today at a local hospital following an extended illness. Funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m., Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Felix Parnell, officiating. Burial in Hokes Bluff Cemetery.
Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Hutchins, Hokes Bluff; Mrs. Imogene Lawrence, Gadsden; sisters, Miss Leo Brooks, Gadsden; Mrs. Ida Allen, Greensboro, NC; brothers, Raymond Brooks, Sepchoppy, Florida; Ralph Brooks, Powder Springs, Georgia; Russell Brooks, Gadsden; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Burnett was a native of Georgia and resided in Gadsden most of her life.
