Jonathan Parker Bishop was born in Killingly, Conn., April 10, 1792, and was the son of Jonathan Parker Bishop, a well-known physician, and Hannah (Torrey) Bishop. He came to Medfield and taught the North School, when a young man. He married in 1817 Eliza Harding (91), and about the year 1818 commenced the practice of law. He died July 10, 1865. His wife survived him, and died Nov. 16, 1877."
