Virginia Frances Johnson, 94, a Presbyterian and artist, went to be with God on Saturday, May 26, 2012. Service: Committal service at 3 p.m. Thursday in Springtown Cemetery, Springtown. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kimball Art Museum.
Virginia was born in Nebraska and married a GI stationed in Iowa. She moved to his home in Texas in 1945. She was active in Scouting and PTA. She worked for Stripling's and later for All Saints Hospital. In retirement she volunteered at Grand Prairie Memorial Hospital.
Virginia was preceded in death by a son, Joe Johnson.
Survivors: Son, John Johnson and wife, Ana; daughter, Judy Fowler and husband, John; five wonderful grandchildren; and one wonderful great-grandson.
