"George Hudson died at his home in this village [Glover] Friday afternoon at six o'clock, after a long illness, at the advanced age of eighty-three years. The funeral was held at his late home this (Monday) afternoon, and his remains were deposited in the tomb at the cemetery. He was a veteran of the Civil War and has been a resident of this village for many years. He lean a wife and two daughters. He has been tenderly cared for during his last illness by his wife and daughter Celia who has always lived at home. Much sympathy is expressed for the family." (Orleans County Monitor, 2/29/1904)
