Battle Creek Inquirer and News, May 19, 1982:

Athens - Leopold W. Pennock, 72, of 320 W. Mill St., was pronounced dead on arrival late Tuesday in Lakeview General Hospital in Battle Creek. He was taken to the hospital after being stricken at home.
He was born in Battle Creek and had resided in Athens about 50 years. He was employed by Eaton Corp. during World war II and then graduated from the National Radio Institute.
He owned and operated a television repair shop in his home until 1976, when ill health forced his retirement.
He was a member of the National Radio Institute Alumni and the Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Edna Leazenby; and a daughter Mrs. Earl (Linda) Bavin of East Leroy; a son John Pennock of East Leroy; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Lydia Smith of Battle Creek; and a brother Milo Pennock of Battle Creek.
