George W. Palmer Dies in Kansas City. George W. Palmer, formerly of Manhattan, passed away in Kansas City, Mo., Sept. 20, at the age of 72. Mr. Palmer was born and raised in Manhattan. He had been a resident of Kansas City about 35 years. During the past 25 years, he had been an agent for the Acacia Mutual Life Insurance company. He was a member of the Christian church. He was a thirty-second degree Mason and a member of the Gate City Masonic lodge. He also was a member of the Scottish Rite and was a past patron of the Starlight chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Kansas City. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucile Palmer of the home; a son, Ewart of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Reyer of Manhattan; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in Kansas City last Thursday. Graveside services were held in Sunset cemetery Friday afternoon at 1:45.
