Lydia Spencer Morris Baxter, age 86, passed away at her home in San Marino, California on Saturday, November 28, 1987. She was the widow of the late Dr. Frank Baxter, an award-winning TV personality, a pioneer in educational television programming and performance as well as a USC English professor. Dr. Baxter died in 1982.

She was survived by her son, Frank C. Baxter; her daughter, Lydia M. Baxter; and by two grandchildren, DeVon Alice Baxter and Alan Morris Baxter.

Memorial services were conducted Monday, December 7, 1987 at St. James Church in South Pasadena, California.
