SERVICE HELD IN OREGON
Services for George F. Matz 83, former Aberdeen Resident were held Saturday at the Bateman funeral Chapel in Gresham, Ore. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Gresham.
Mr. Matz died Sept 4 in Sandy Ore.
He was born on Sept 1, 1880 in Michigan. In 1907 he married Mary Rose Schneider in Roscoe (SD). He farmed for many years near Aberdeen, then moved to Aberdeen. He worked at the Farmer's Elevator for about 26 years. In 1944 he and his wife (and son Ronald) moved to Sandy (Oregon).
Survivors include two sons, Bernard of Aberdeen and Ronald of Boring, Ore. Two daughters Mrs. Hazel Macy of Whittier California and Mrs. Richard (Gertrude) Bullock of Aberdeen, 20 Grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
