Lifelong Resident Laid To Rest Here
Mrs. Hattie Morse, widow of the late Lewis P. Morse who had been living in Grand Rapids at the home of her daughter, passed away last Thursday morning at Blodzett hospital after a short illness.
Harriet E. Covill was born in Cascade, Michigan March 7, 1870 the daughter of Gideon and Louisa Covill. she was united in marriage to Lewis P.Morse September 27, 1890. To this union was born one daughter, Viola May. Mrs. Morse spent her entire life in Lowell with the exception of the last year spent with her daughter Mrs. Guy Lewis, in Grand Rapids.She was a devoted wife and loving mother nad was greatly loved by all who knew her.
She leaves to mourn their loss besides the daughter a sister, Mrs. Nettie Bowes of Lowell, a brother Will Covill of Grand Rapids. Two Grandchildren Harriet and Glen Lewis of Grand Rapids. she will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services were held on Saturday at the Roth and Brezina chapel, Rev. S.B. Wenger officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemerery.
