Published: Monday, Dec. 27, 1999 12:00 a.m. MST
OGDEN -- An Ogden woman was killed Sunday when the car she was driving collided head-on with another vehicle in Ogden Canyon. Killed was: Angela (Nelson) Springer, 26, Ogden.
Springer was westbound in a pickup truck on U-39 about 2:30 p.m. Sunday when she drifted across the yellow lines into eastbound traffic, according to a Utah Highway Patrol press release. The pickup collided head-on with another pickup, driven by Patrick Hunsaker of Malad.
Springer was transported to McKay-Dee Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Hunsaker, 48, and his wife, Mary Hunsaker, 28, were transported to Ogden Regional Medical Center. Patrick Hunsaker was listed in critical but stable condition Monday morning and was "being watched very carefully," a hospital spokeswoman said. Mary Hunsaker was listed in serious but stable condition.
Neither the Hunsakers nor Springer was wearing seatbelts, according to the UHP report.
