Travis P. Skiver

ROCK SPRINGS, Wyoming – On Sunday, August 23, 2009, Travis Perry Skiver, our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend unexpectedly passed away in Casper, Wyoming.

Travis was born September 22, 1971 in Ogden, Utah, to his parents, Glen and Jolene Skiver. He joined his older brother and friend Joe. They were close friends from day one. He was joined later by sisters, Mary, Amy, and Taya. They all remained close and shared many joys including the birth of many nieces and nephews who Travis loved with all his heart.

Travis was a graduate of Bonneville High School. He later earned a medical degree from Stevens- Henager College.

Travis married Tricia Roberts and on August 19, 1997 was blessed with the birth of a daughter, Victoria. From day one it was apparent that Tori was special, and time has proven how special she was to Travis. Travis and Tricia were later divorced. Travis married his soul mate and best friend, Breanne Christensen, on April 3, 2000. She became Tori's second mom and made Travis's life complete. Through her unconditional love, Breanne helped guide Travis through many of life's trying times and stood by him always.

Travis enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with friends and family. He especially enjoyed the time he spent camping and fishing with Breanne and Tori. Whether he was competively mountain biking, playing softball, or a round of golf, he liked being outdoors.

Travis is survived by his wife, Breanne and daughter, Tori; mother, Jolene (Jim) Lefler, Farr West; grandparents, Glen and Doris Skiver, Washington Terrace; Mary Tribett, Roy; brother, Joe (Jen) Skiver, Roy; sisters, Mary (Brian) Bruestle, South Ogden; Amy (Jeremy) Lawson, Farr West; Taya (Tyrell) Mcerath, Layton; in-laws, Sharilyn (Merle) Hawthorne, Brian Christensen, Joel (Brandi) Christensen, Kyle Hawthorne, and many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and animal friends Doc, Chester and Woody.
