Harold was born on September 28, 1925 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to Louie and Dorothy (Beebee) Swanson.
On June 6, 1948 Harold married Delores Dean, Delores passed away February 4, 2009. Harold served his country in the Army. Harold worked for Eugene Rath as a gas station attendant for eighteen years, and he retired in 1981. He loved watching wrestling on television.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister, one brother and one grandson, Kevin and daughter in law Jackie.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Obrecht of Council Bluffs, Iowa; son, Robert Swanson of Missouri Valley, Iowa; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister; June Noland of Omaha, Nebraska.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship to Community of Christ Church after the committal service.
