Juanita Viola Pennington, was the daughter of Green Lee PENNINGTON and Arminta Elvina (Rich) PENNINGTON of AR.

Born to Greene Lee and Arminta Rich Pennington in Jasper, Arkansas, Juanita was raised in Arkansas before she joined the women's Army Air Corps in World War II where she obtained marksman status for her rifle skills.

Juanita married Garland Lee Brians of Batesville, Arkansas and was a loving mother to Larry Wayne and Gary Lee. [Those are two sons with first and middle names, not four sons.] She taught public school in Arkansas and business college in Modesto, California. Her loving nieces and nephews recall "Aunt Pete's" enthusiasm for playing softball, quilting, bowling, gospel singing and the poems she penned.

She is survived by son Larry, his wife Rosie, grandson Matthew, and sisters

Nina Faria, Goldy Mosley, Gladys Towell, Ruby Ward, Patricia Fowler, and brother, Wendell Pennington, all of Modesto.
