Funeral services for Betty Lou Schroeder Scott, 85 year-old Douglas resident, will be 11:00am Monday, June 4, 2012 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ted Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Covington Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
An only child, Betty Lou was born December 16, 1926 to Carl C. and Amy E. (Crews) Schroeder in Waukomis and died May 31, 2012 at The Commons in Enid. She married Donald H. Scott on July 23, 1947.
Betty Lou was a former music teacher and member of the Douglas Christian Union Church where she was the organist for many years. She performed for many weddings and funerals, was a housewife and did volunteer work.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Betty Lou is survived by her husband, Donald of Douglas; one daughter, Donita Scott of Enid and many cousins.
Memorials can be given through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
