Nathan Porter, father of Edward Porter of this village, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marsline (sp) Lasher in Glasco, NY on Saturday at 10 pm. The funeral was held at Glasco on Monday afternoon. Interment at Athens cemetery on Tuesday morning at 10 am. Services were conducted at the grave by Rev. I. W. Hill.
