Mrs. Dorothy B. Hopkins, 86, of Dickerson, died Sunday, Jan. 4 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville.
She was the wife of the late Hollis Edward Hopkins Sr.
Born on Oct. 23, 1917, in Poolesville, she was the daughter of the late Walter Mason and Rosa Cubitt Butler.
Surviving are two sons, Hollis E. (Sonny) Hopkins Jr. of West Virginia, and Mason R. Hopkins Sr. of Dickerson; a daughter, Rosemary Jones of California; nine grandchildren, Hollis E. Hopkins III, Ann Christine Stowers, Ann Theresa Winn, Matthew Richard Hopkins, Rosanna Jones-Thurman, Ann Margaret Leibrand, Paul Edward Jones Jr., Mason Richard Hopkins Jr. and Mark Richard Hopkins; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8.
Interment will follow in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
