Funeral services were held for Mrs. Helena K. Behrens, 88, of Beasley, at 3 p.m. Sunday at the East Bernard Methodist Church in East Bernard. Rev. Verlon E. Feller officiated.
Mrs. Behrens passed away in the Fort Bend Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was a resident of Fort Bend County for about 75 years. Mr. Behrens passed away in 1949. They had celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1948.
Mrs. Behrens is survived by her sons, Ben Behrens and Barney Behrens of Beasley, Roy H. Behrens of Houston, and a foster son, A.A. Hinges of East Bernard; two daughters, Mrs. Cora Meyer of Beasley and Mrs. Viola Koym of East Bernard; a brother, Robert Koym of East Bernard; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ed Buls, Ed Foster, R.H. Koym, William Koym, Hugh Behrens, and Alvin Koym.
Burial was in East Bernard Methodist Cemetery. Funeral services were under the direction of Garmany and Company Funeral Directors.
