Mrs. Mary Alice (Ade) Davis, 82, widow of the late John Greeley Davis, and sister of George Ade died Thursday night at her home in Kentland, of heart trouble
Born in Morocco, Jan 19, 1856, she was a daughter of John and Adeline Ade. Praticially her entire life was spent in Kentland, where on Jan. 19, 1876, she was married to Mr. Davis. Her father was a pioneer banker of Newton county. She was a member of the M.E.church, also Eastern Star, Pythian Sisters and a charter member of the Kentland Woman's Club, and affiliated with the state organization of American War Mothers. She also leaves two sons, William H. Davis, California, and George Ade Davis, Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Warren T. McCray, Kentland, and a granddaughter.
Services ere held Sunday at 2 p.m. Rev. V.B. Servies officiating. Burial in Fair Lawn cemetery.
