5 persons die in 2-car crash at Chaplin, Ky. - Five persons were killed about 7:15 p.m. yesterday in a two-car, head-on collision on U.S. 62, three miles cast of Chaplin, Ky., State Police at Elizabethtown reported. Dead are Gary Lee Hood, 21, the driver of one car, and his passengers, Stuart Ruby, 18, and Ronald Hood, 17, all of Chaplin, and Neal Clark, 18, the driver of the second car, and his passenger, Ricky Calvert, 17, both of Bloomfield. The funeral for a passenger in his car, Rickey Lee Calvert, 17, also of Bloomfield, and a junior at Nelson County High, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the same funeral home, with burial in Highview also. Calvert is survived by liis parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Calvert; two brothers, Tommy and Kenney Calvert, both of Chaplin; a sister, Miss Donna Calvert, and his grandmothers, Mrs. Bess Shouse and Mrs. Ann Calvert, both of Bloomfield.
