Bertie Barto, 92, died Feb. 22, 1987, at the Health Care Center in Springfield where she had lived for the last three or four years. A resident of Texas County in the early 30s, she had lived in a nursing home for several years. She worked and traveled in Arizona, Colorado and Missouri. Born Sept. 13, 1894, she was the daughter of Elihue and Fanny Bailey of Eunice. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Alf Coffman and Berney Barto and three children, Surviving are eight children, Leona Stice of Springfield , David Coffman of Springfield, Harold Coffman of Colorado, Edward Coffman of Texas, Raymond Coffman of Las Vegas, Nev., and three daughters, Dorothy, Edna and Louise; two brothers, Melvin and Howard Bailey of Licking; two sisters, Sylvia Frampton of Eunice and Mary Kelmel of Maryville. Services were Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the Greenlawn Funeral Home in Springfield with the Rev. Calvin Maberry officiating. Graveside services and burial were at the Union Chapel Cemetery near Eunice with the Rev. Maurice Allen officiating.
