Mike "Myron" J. Bodart, age 80, of 3125 Adams St . , Two Rivers, died Friday morning, June 1, 2012 at University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison.

Mike was born March 23, 1932, in Kewaunee, the son of the late Myron and Cele (Laurent) Bodart Sr. He graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School with the class of 1951 and shortly after served his country honorably as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 in Korea. On September 13, 1952, he married Rosemary Staab at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Being the business man that he was, Mike had many professions including being a licensed barber for twenty years, and a very active real estate broker, developer, and appraiser. He and Rosemary owned and operated the A&W Family Restaurant in Two Rivers for twenty six years. In his extra time, Mike served on the Board of Directors for River-Wood Maritime Credit Union and Shoreline Credit Union and was a very active member of the Kiwanis and Lions Clubs of Two Rivers. In recent years, he did Mission work in Brazil and Mississippi. Mike was an exceptional athlete in high school and also played semi-pro football for a few years. Throughout the years he was an accomplished golfer, enjoyed fishing, skiing, and watching the Brewers, Packers and Badgers. In his retirement he enjoyed his time at their winter home in Mesa , Ariz.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Rosemary Bodart, Two Rivers; three children: Michelle Philippsen, Two Rivers, Michael Bodart (Sue Goltz), Green Bay, and Marcie Bodart (Edward Baruth), Two Rivers; three grandchildren: Melissa (Chris) Shea, Lauren Philippsen (Drew Ross), and Matthew (Melissa) Richmond; four great grandchildren: Kayleigh Shea, Ashton Novy, and Zander and Vann Goltz. He is further survived by one brother: Roger (Barbara) Bodart, Milwaukee ; brother-in-law: Robert Staab, Two Rivers; sister-in-law: Mabel (Ray) Ploeckelmann, Cleveland; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with entombment in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy 310, Manitowoc . Military honors will be accorded immediately following the Mass by members of American Legion Post # 165 and V.F.W. Post # 1248 of Two Rivers.
