Anna Mary Zerbe was born in Cambria Co. PA the daughter of John Zerbe and Julia Ann McGuire. At the time she was born, her family already had a long and rich history in this country. Veterans of the Revolution, the War of 1812, and settlers of the wilderness that was to become Cambria Co.

She married Peter Adams on June 27, 1852 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Cambria Co. PA, she was 19 years old and he was 27. She and Peter had 12 children, 9 boys and 3 girls. Her first child, Frances Xaviar was born in July 1853 she was 18. Her last child, Raymond James was born in August 1877, she was 44. Peter passed away in Feb 1894, they had been married for almost 42 years.
